Outdoor Bowls Section

The Outdoor Bowls Section has the use of two greens ,
pavilion , changing rooms and equipment hut.

 The men and ladies Sections are affiliated to 
Bowls Isle of Wight as Plessey Bowls Club, 
and we have teams in both the men's and ladies' leagues .

The section also caters for the casual bowler who wishes only to have a roll up, 
play in the Internal league/competitions or touring team fixtures etc. 
and not play league bowls in the first instance.

Qualified coaching is available, if required on request, 
at times to suit the individual.  

The section calendar includes playing touring and friendly bowls fixtures
during the season, many of the games are mixed rinks (both ladies & men) 
The section also run a Thursday evening open fours league throughout the season. 
We also run internal men, ladies and mixed, knockout competitions 
with two days of finals to conclude. 

There is also a mixed pairs `Rose Bowl' competition.

  Several enjoyable bowling events are held over the season , 
such as the Presidents and joint Captain's "Fun Days".

The section has a very active social side and takes pride
in trying to promote a friendly and happy club for all our members.

The Outdoor season usually commences 
at the end of April and concludes end of September.

Note:   Outdoor Bowls section members must also 
be members of the Isle of Wight Community Club.
